It’s that time of year where the long nights start to draw in and the leaves start falling from the trees. Autumn is here!
I spent an evening with a cuppa tea just thinking about what the summer had brought and what my summer favourites were. Instead of doing monthly Favourites I have decided to now start doing seasonal Favourites.
So without further ado here are my summer favourites!
Jurassic Coast Weekend
In July we packed up for a last minute camping trip to Dorset. The sun was shining, we went snorkelling and paddleboarding and we explored the beautiful Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. You can read all about it in my blog post 48 Hours Exploring the Jurassic Coast.
Sandbanks SUP Style Paddle Boards
At the end of August I purchased 2 SUP boards after falling in love with paddle boarding. After much searching, comparing prices and looking for the right boards, I came across these SUP boards from Sandbanks SUP Style.
So far we have tried SUP surfing, paddled around Coombe Martins coves and enjoyed evening paddles around the Exe estuary.
Fitbit Flex 2
I have had a Fitbit Alta for a while but after spending a lot of time this summer in the sea I couldn’t wear the Alta in the water as it was not water resistant. So I invested in the Fitbit flex, this Fitbit has less features as it doesn’t have a screen like the Alta. However it has the same vibration feature as the rest of the Fitbit, so it can tell me when I get a text or a phone call. The best thing about the Flex is that it is swimproof, therefore I can wear the Flex when I’m swimming and paddleboarding, allowing it to record my steps and activities no matter what I am doing.
Surf Girl Magazine
This a a great magazine full of inspiring surfer girls and their many stories. The photographs in the magazine are ones I dream of taking (maybe one day!) I enjoy the way the magazine is split into different sections such as creativity and life. The latest issue has a whole list of yoga and surf retreats which make me want to go and find my surfer zen!
Lush Shampoo Bars
I brought the latest of the Lush shampoo bars a few months ago and featured it in my Little Lush Haul. It was the “New” bar and it was amazing. I say was as I have run out of it now. The smell was great every time, my hair felt amazing too so shiny and full. The bars are also handy when on an adventure as they are compact, solid and easy to pack. Recently I purchased a different shampoo bar, the “Honey, I Washed My Hair” bar. Looking forward to trying this shampoo out.
